Empowered Safety, LLC (hereinafter "Provider," "us" or "we"), currently owns and operates the Web site known as To protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices. To make this notice easy to find, it is available on our Web site and wherever personally identifiable information may be requested.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and committed to developing technology that gives you the most powerful and secure online experience.

Our Privacy Policy applies to all Provider-owned domains and covers personally identifiable information, anonymous data collection and aggregate reporting. Personally identifiable information is any information that is associated with your name or personal identity.

Please be advised that our practices covered by this Policy apply only to information gathered through our Web site, and do not necessarily reflect our practices with respect to information gathered by other means.

We reserve the right to modify our information collection, use, and disclosure practices in this Policy. If we modify this Policy, then it will be posted on our Web site, thereby informing our Subscribers. If at any point we decide to use or disclose your personally identifiable information in a manner that deviates from this Policy, then we will notify you in writing, which may or may not be by e-mail. If you object to any modifications to this Policy, then you must contact us. We will otherwise use and disclose a Subscriber's personally identifiable information in accordance with the Policy that was in effect when such information was collected.

  1. SUBSCRIPTION AND BILLING DATA. To register as a Subscriber, personal information you provide includes your name, address, phone, fax, email address, date of birth, username and password, billing information, transaction, and credit card information.
  2. WEB SITE BROWSING DATA. When you browse our Web site, you do so anonymously. However, we log your IP address (the Internet address of your computer) to give us an idea of which part of our Web site you visit and how long you spend there. But we do not link your IP address to any personal information unless you have logged into our Web site. Like many other commercial Web sites, our Web site may use a standard technology called a "cookie" to collect information about how you use the site. Please see "Use of Cookies" below for more information.
  3. CHILDREN'S PRODUCTS. Through our Web site, you will have the option of registering any children's products that you currently use or own. This allows us to alert you whether there are any safety reports associated with those products.
  4. DEMOGRAPHIC DATA ON CERTAIN CHILDREN. (a) You are given the exclusive option, if you so decide, to provide through your registered account the name, date of birth, gender, and other demographic data on any children whose safety is a concern to you. You are not required to provide the Social Security number for any child. Most Subscribers may disclose information relating to their own children, but we contemplate that some may want to monitor for child and family safety information on behalf of their grandchildren, nieces, or nephews, or other children with whom a relationship has been established or promoted. Under these circumstances, it is the exclusive responsibility of the Subscriber to obtain permission from the parent (or guardian) before providing such information to us.

    (b) This information allows our Services to better track child and family safety information of concern to you. There is also an optional feature, described more fully below, that allows our Subscribers to privately receive promotional offers for children's products—tailored to specific demographic data on children provided by you—which are forwarded by us from third parties.

Protecting the privacy of the young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information directly from those we actually know are under the age of thirteen (13). Although our Services involve the compilation and transmission of child and family safety information, we do so to increase the awareness of adults. No part of our Services is structured to attract anyone under the age of thirteen (13).

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To make our Services easier for you to use.
  • To help us create and publish content most relevant to you and the children and family whose safety is a concern to you.
  • To alert you of any changes in our Services or in your subscription.
  • To provide feedback and respond to requests for assistance.
  • To send periodic e-mails.
  • To privately forward to you promotional offers that we obtain from third parties on age-and gender-appropriate children's products.

  1. IN GENERAL. Ordinarily, we do not disclosure your personal information to third parties without your permission. But the exceptions are provided below.
  2. REQUIRED BY LAW OR BY COURT ORDER. Provider may disclose your personal information to the extent required by law or by court order.
  3. NECESSARY TO PREVENT HARM OR FRAUD. Provider may disclose your personal information to protect our rights and property, to prevent fraudulent activity or other deceptive practices, or to prevent a likely threat of physical harm to others or to yourself.
  4. SUBSEQUENT MERGERS OR ACQUISITIONS. Provider may transfer your personal information if Provider is acquired by (or merged with) another company, or if the assets of Provider are sold to another company. In all of these circumstances, our Terms and Conditions of Use and Services and Privacy Policy will be assigned and delegated to the other company.
  5. AGENTS AND CONTRACTORS. With appropriate confidentiality agreements in place, your information may be shared with agents and contractors of Provider for the purpose of performing service for Provider.

We have struck a careful balance that protects your privacy (and the privacy of any children's data provided through our account) while giving you the exclusive option of receiving promotional offers that are tailored to the age and gender of the child or to other demographic information that you provide to us.

Third parties may wish to purchase from Provider the right for us to privately forward to you promotional offers on children's and other products. With your consent, we will directly transmit those promotional offers to you. Our Subscribers will not receive any direct communication from the third party. Significantly, we will not disclose your name, contact information (including your e- mail address, and phone number), credit card or billing information. We will only disclose appropriate data on any children that you have registered with us, so that third parties may make offers that are age- and gender-appropriate (by way of example, birthday specials based on a child's date of birth).

However, if you desire to take advantage of promotional offers, then you are responsible for contacting third parties (in the matter directed by them) and submitting payment. Please review our Terms and Conditions regarding our disclaimer of liability in connection with your interaction with third parties.

Provider exercises ordinary care and prudence in protecting the security of your personal information. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Specifically, we use the Secured Socket Layer (SSL) encryption when collecting or transferring sensitive data. Your personal data is stored in password-controlled servers with limited access. Credit card numbers are only used for processing payment and not for any other purpose. Our efforts to prevent fraud help protect your financial data security.

You also have a significant role in account security. No one can see or edit your personal information without knowing your username and password, so do not share these with others.

We will provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is correct and current. You may review and update this information by logging into your account. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as password and username, before granting access to your data.
