EMPOWERED SAFETY, LLC
Empowered Safety, LLC (hereinafter "Provider," "us" or "we"), currently owns and operates the Web site known as empoweredsafety.com. To protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices. To make this notice easy to find, it is available on our Web site and wherever personally identifiable information may be requested.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and committed to developing technology that gives you the most powerful and secure online experience.
Please be advised that our practices covered by this Policy apply only to information gathered through our Web site, and do not necessarily reflect our practices with respect to information gathered by other means.
We reserve the right to modify our information collection, use, and disclosure practices in this Policy. If we modify this Policy, then it will be posted on our Web site, thereby informing our Subscribers. If at any point we decide to use or disclose your personally identifiable information in a manner that deviates from this Policy, then we will notify you in writing, which may or may not be by e-mail. We will otherwise use and disclose a Subscriber's personally identifiable information in accordance with the Policy that was in effect when such information was collected.
WHAT WE COLLECT.
Protecting the privacy of the young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information directly from those we actually know are under the age of thirteen (13). Although our Services involve the compilation and transmission of child and family safety information, we do so to increase the awareness of adults. No part of our Services is structured to attract anyone under the age of thirteen (13).
HOW WE USE IT.
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
WITH WHOM WE SHARE IT.
PRIVATELY RECEIVING FROM US PROMOTIONAL OFFERS ON CHILDREN'S AND OTHER PRODUCTS.
We have struck a careful balance that protects your privacy (and the privacy of any children's data provided through our account) while giving you the exclusive option of receiving promotional offers that are tailored to the age and gender of the child or to other demographic information that you provide to us.
Third parties may wish to purchase from Provider the right for us to privately forward to you promotional offers on children's and other products. With your consent, we will directly transmit those promotional offers to you. Our Subscribers will not receive any direct communication from the third party. Significantly, we will not disclose your name, contact information (including your e- mail address, and phone number), credit card or billing information. We will only disclose appropriate data on any children that you have registered with us, so that third parties may make offers that are age- and gender-appropriate (by way of example, birthday specials based on a child's date of birth).
However, if you desire to take advantage of promotional offers, then you are responsible for contacting third parties (in the matter directed by them) and submitting payment. Please review our Terms and Conditions regarding our disclaimer of liability in connection with your interaction with third parties.
SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.
Provider exercises ordinary care and prudence in protecting the security of your personal information. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Specifically, we use the Secured Socket Layer (SSL) encryption when collecting or transferring sensitive data. Your personal data is stored in password-controlled servers with limited access. Credit card numbers are only used for processing payment and not for any other purpose. Our efforts to prevent fraud help protect your financial data security.
You also have a significant role in account security. No one can see or edit your personal information without knowing your username and password, so do not share these with others.
ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.
We will provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is correct and current. You may review and update this information by logging into your account. To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as password and username, before granting access to your data.
